With retail being disrupted in many sectors and geographies, what can long-established brands do to remain relevant to the next generation of consumers? Marc Schumacher will discuss this theme at the World Retail Congress in Madrid. In his panel Building on Heritage: Winning with innovation he will talk to the CEOs of two well-established brands: Simon Cotton from Johnstons of Elgin, the 220 year old luxury cashmere manufacturers who make their own ranges but also for brands such as Burberry and Gucci and Alba Tous from Tous, the Spanish jewellery which nearly 100 years ago was just one shop and is now an international business in more than 30 countries but still family owned.
