On our initiative, the “Future Retail Challenge” took place for the first time as part of the World Retail Congress 2014. Students from five renowned international colleges in New York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Ancona (Italy) were asked to develop a new store concept for this “Future Retail Challenge 2014”: the “Samsung LIFE Store”. The finalists’ concepts were presented to a jury of five industry experts during the course of the congress. The winning team from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York was awarded a prize at the WRC dinner reception.
From redesigning the competition’s format to managing the entire creative process, we executed responsibility in all creative steps of the “Future Retail Challenge”: we designed a “Future Retail Challenge” exhibition which showcased the student’s concepts, created a Competition Mag for the challenge, and designed additional communication tools for the “Future Retail Challenge” Award Show.
